the things we carry

In collaboration with International Medical Corps and The Hilton Foundation, we created an immersive and interactive experience that asked users the question "what would you carry if you had to flee your home?"

This campaign was shared globally by social media influencers, international non-profits and large corporations, nominated for multiple awards, and touted as the best campaign of its sort by the Tent Foundation.

What would you do?

With a goal of raising awareness and empathy for refugees of the Syria Crisis, the user navigates a series of questions around decisions they would be forced to make if they had to flee their home. Based off of the users answers, they are paired with refugee whose decisions aligned with the user's answers.

With the idea in mind of a prolonged, open-ended campaign strategy, we created multiple avenues to tell the stories of these refugees. This approach allowed for the partners to share the stories in different ways without garnering reader fatigue.

Through a dynamic and sharable landing page, we housed the stories of the refugees from the interactive quiz, along with stories from other refugees.
